Blog 3: My Favorite Series: Mea Culpa

Hi! and welcome again to my blog, in this occasion I will talk about my favorite series (although I wanted to talk about my pets:c).

While the most of the series that I seen are japanese animation (I’m not otaku!), in this occasion I think that talk about a chilean series that  was directed by Carlos Pinto, “Mea Culpa”. This series began to be trasmitted by Televisión Nacional in 1993. each chapter lasts approximately 90min, and consists in a recreation of a crime that has shocked the country, furthermore, Usually Carlos Pinto interviews criminal actors and family members of the victims if they agree, sometimes even some experts in the field of law give their opinion on this (eg. Legal Psychologists, Criminologist Lawyer). Mea Culpa is very interesting for me, since I like very much the area of legal psychology (I plan to dedicate myself to this in the future).
From time to time I watch with my mother some chapters in YouTube, although I do not know if in this platform are available the 13 seasons that approximately contain 12 chapters each one. Since there are new characters in each chapter, the only most recognizable character in the series is its anchor, Carlos Pinto. His other anchor, Cecilia Serrano, was only there during the first season. Carlos Pinto, thanks to his "voice from beyond the grave", gives a mysterious tone to the stories which I like very much.

    1. There is also another series directed by Carlos Pinto, called "El Día Menos Pensado".
It's about stories of "paranormal events" that supposedly happened here in Chile. Many times it rescues some myths and legends from some areas, it is very interesting too.
